Hi, my name is Alexandre Thak
I grow products and build brands.
For global names like Cartier (Digital Project Manager, 2012–2017), Cisco (Marketing Manager France, 2017–2018) and TikTok (Marketing Manager France & Benelux, 2022–2024).
For scale-ups like Bolt (Marketing & PR Manager France, 2018–2019), Wheely (Senior Marketing Manager France, 2019–2021) and Trade Republic (Senior Marketing Manager France, 2021–2022), which I launched in France.
For Dailymotion (Chief Marketing Officer, 2025–2026), as CMO.
For myself, with MagicListe (Gift lists for births, weddings and birthdays. Launched), ROLL (Bring friends’ photos from a shared moment together, without the shared folder. Building) and more to come. (And next, maybe for you.)
French. Geek. Optimistic. Sometimes sporty, often hungry. Convinced that technology should serve people, not the other way around.
Based in Paris. Open to a leadership role in tech (or luxury), in marketing or beyond, and to work as a fractional CMO or launch advisor.
Projects
- More to come soon…
-
ROLL: Bring friends’ photos from a shared moment together, without the shared folder. (Building)
- The problem
- After a wedding, a party or a group trip, the photos of a single moment end up spread across many phones.
- What I built
- An iPhone app. Each person adds their own photos from their camera roll, and ROLL turns them into a shared memory.
- What I learned
- An app is much more demanding than a website: permissions, access to photos, publishing on the App Store. Starting small is what let me move forward.
-
MagicListe: Gift lists for births, weddings and birthdays. Built entirely with AI to find out how far it can go. (Launched)
- The problem
- Existing gift list services made you create an account before doing anything, were awkward on a phone, and weren’t simple or quick enough.
- What I built
- With Claude, Claude Code and Cursor, without writing a line of code: a list with no sign-up. Paste a gift’s link, and its title, price and image are pulled in automatically. Friends and family can chip in together for the most expensive ones.
- What I learned
- AI executes very well, but deciding what to build is still up to me. And sharing is the channel: each list sent out reaches new people.
-
snpstr: My first blog, started in 2008. Still online, reboot to come. (Paused)
- The problem
- In 2008, I was a student. I wanted to learn how to build a website, to have a showcase for my perspective, and to force myself to follow trends.
- What I built
- A curation blog about design, web trends and fashion. I handled every role: design, HTML and CSS, daily posts, audience.
- What I learned
- Building a website from A to Z on my own is the whole digital product in miniature. And curation is a craft: choosing, framing and telling the story is already marketing.
